INSIDE ELECTRICAL APPR FUNDAMENTALS
Related training for the Inside/Manufacturing Plant Electrical Apprentice. Subject area will enable the apprentice to receive the technical knowledge of the skills required of an Inside/Manufacturing Plant Electrician. Context will include trade history and concepts, trade math, basic electrical DC theory, various types of electrical circuits when applying Ohm's Law, and introduction to National Electrical Code. Prerequisite: Indentured Apprentice The first year begins with the study of some of OSHA’s construction safety rules and introduces apprentices to the principles associated with electricity, electrical theory, and the basics of electrical systems. These basic fundamentals are necessary to understand the complex NEC requirements covered throughout the curriculum. Digital multimeter principles will also be addressed. In the latter part of this class students will be introduced to, and begin utilizing, the National Electrical Code. Upon the completion of Year 1, students will have the knowledge necessary to safely and proficiently perform the job duties and responsibilities expected of a first level apprentice. Each student will be given a comprehensive exam covering the material discussed in this level, including construction safety, electrical fundamentals, digital multimeter principles, and basic electrical theory. This course covers the technical knowledge of the skills required of an Inside/Manufacturing Plant Electrician. Content will cover applied electrical theory, residential and commercial wiring practices, busways, motor fundamental application National Electrical Code. Prerequisites: Indentured Apprentice, APR 112A, APR 112B, APR 112C This course focuses on the first few chapters of the National Electrical Code. Some equipment specific to alternating current will be introduced. Residential and commercial wiring methods and practices will also be covered in depth in this level. Students will develop a further knowledge of construction safety, electrical safety, and the NEC. As they study rules in the Code, they’ll develop a greater understanding of the purpose of the NEC’s general wiring methods, materials, and different types of protection along with gaining a deeper understanding of residential and commercial wiring systems. Upon the completion of year 2, students will have the knowledge necessary to safely and proficiently perform the job duties and responsibilities expected of a second level apprentice. Barre is a mixture of modern postural alignment theory, core activation, glute strengthening movements, leg and arm strengthening movements.
